It's a brilliant song.......this is the best version:- uk.youtube.com/watch?v=2sVdeg8dzb4&feature=relatedDoes anyone know the other lead guitarist in the clip?....it looks a bit like Mick Taylor (ex Bluesbreaker and Rolling Stone....very underrated...brilliant blues guitarist and the architect of the guitar 'overdubs' throughout Honky Tonk Women....which make it such a great record!!)

A rare interview regarding Van Morrison's new live album of Astral Weeks. Don't you just love the man Interviewer: Is there anything new you like to listen to Van? Van: No, nothing new Interviewer: We all know you were influenced by American blues greats like Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker...are then any new American blues groups that excite you? Van: No....Absolutely not..(giggle)..oh no ;D www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVHbUPNcTiU&eurl=http://www.vanmorrison.com/new/films.php

Great to hear one of Robert B.R’s original songs…..
One thing that has upset me with the progression of Brother Rabbit is the way they have deserted the original material. A year or so ago there would be two or three Robert B.R original songs in the set….but now it’s one in a blue moon. I think that’s a big mistake. I think the Band needs to re-focus on a certain amount of originality and have the balls to buck the trend and separate themselves from the routine cover bands.
What all the members of Brother Rabbit have forgotten is that what could make Brother Rabbit special is the original material….and I think the original material is very strong….Mr Sad, Roly Poly, Smile Inside, I am Yours, Michelle, Future of the Maid, Nothing, Your So Cool…..and there’s others…
If the consensus in the Band is not to feature the original stuff then I hope Robert B.R will, if nothing else, put more of his solo work on YouTube.... ....maybe without the silly grin? ;D

....and now for something completely different! Recently I visited Tate Modern in Liverpool and came across two old video pieces by ‘modern’ artists Gilbert & George and I admit that I embarrassed myself because I was unable to suppress a serious bout of giggling. G & G are a couple of strange old boys, pompous maybe, but nevertheless they certainly amuse me….although I’m not sure if that is their whole intention.! Like with all art forms you have to sort through a lot garbage to discover the nuggets…and of course one mans nugget is another mans garbage….but the one thing about ‘modern’ art for me is that it can be highly evocative and thought provoking....and very personal! For that reason I tend to keep it to myself because, quite simply, if you bleat on about ‘modern’ art works you can sound very pretentious….. and a complete nerd Searching YouTube I found this…………. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OGziyW-_FY....this is the reason that I don't get up on the dance floor anymore!!!! ;D

If only my white gloves could draw a response likethat... Not quite as much as a legend, but this guy can play. It gets better as it goes on and how good is the last bit?! www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1Vf14jKhoEEdit to add that Dyson sweeps a shot for a single to bring up the century (raises bat to acknowledge the applause from the pavilion). 100 not out! ;D

I love this…..a video recorded at Antwerp Central Station (Belgium) in March this year. At 8.00 in the morning a recording of Julie Andrews singing from The Sound of Music was played over the public address system….and with absolutely no warning to the commuting passengers, 200 dancers suddenly appeared. Living art....Brilliant! www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EYAUazLI9k
